Coming soon - why a new URL?

Hey all. It’s your boy, Matt.

I’ve done some talking with a bunch of people, and well, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve done some things wrong. That’s okay, because the nature of creating is to mess up, learn from those messups, and then stand back up again.

So here we are. No more PlusHeart, no more Making Stuff. We’re getting all my writing under one roof. I’m happy about that. I’m still finalizing “sections” for what I’m going to be writing about; I was debating doing those on different Substack URLs because the subject matter is a bit different, but someone smart said “People subscribe to people.”

So that’s what we’re doing. Courage. You’ll be able to opt out of emails from sections you don’t like.

I’m also going to be committing to Substack pretty hard in terms of a project; no Patreon, no Discord, no Ko-fi, or whatever. Still likely going to be doing some podcasting because audio interviews are dope.

I’m still going to stream on Twitch, because that’s separate, fun, and probably isn’t going to be too similar tonally to what I write here.

Giving up has never been an option, and hey, I’m feeling good about trying again.
